Colin McCredie to read children’s stories in the Botanical Gardens in Glasgow, for The Children’s Wood.
The Children’s Wood is taking part in the Plantedd garden party. There will be a host of children’s nature activities for young people to take part in at the event on Friday 28th September, 12-5pm.
Colin McCredie, from CBeebies Wooly and Tig, Taggart and River City, will be reading the Hungry Caterpillar and The Tiny Seed on behalf of the Children’s Wood for the http://www.plantedd.com garden party in the Glasgow Botanic Gardens on the 28th of September at 3pm.
The Children’s Wood will be setting up camp in the Botanics, from 12-5pm creating a den for shelter and providing opportunities for children to engage in nature activities like clay modeling, leaf identification and other activities. There will be face painting too.

Colin McCredie says “As a parent of two young children I can appreciate how important it is for young children to connect to nature.” And that’s why he’s supporting the Children’s Wood’s and Plantedd’s efforts to increase connections to nature.
